The DKC or Ecodrive series was designed to offer powerful and precise motion control at an economical price. (That’s the “eco” part of “ecodrive.”) This is an integrated drive containing both the controller and the power supply. It connects with the servo motor to create a full motion control system for single or multi-axis applications. DKC01.1-040-7-FW is one of the most popular of these drives.
The DKC series is especially well suited to the MKD motors.
All DKC drives are legacy components made by Indramat. Rexroth acquired Indramat in the 20th century to provide an electric motion control division for the company Bosch Rexroth still uses the “Indra” of “Indramat” in the names of its IndraDrive, IndraMotion, and IndraDyn components.
The DKC01.1-040-7-FW is one model in the DKC series one family. The DKC Type 1 was an alternative to the DKS control. It contains firmware and is not reconfigurable. It must be disassembled for any firmware troubleshooting, and as with all Rexroth motion control, it is not designed to be disassembled and repaired on the machine.
Factory repair is the only good choice for fixing a faulty DKC01.1-040-7-FW unit. Rexroth doesn’t sell replacement parts to 3rd party repair shops. Rexroth also does not certify 3rd party repair shops. Save time and money by going with factory repair from the beginning.
We have factory repaired DKC01.1-040-7-FW units on hand so you can pull the faulty component off the machine and replace it immediately with the same component in like-new condition.
