It's National Boss's Day, when we naturally start thinking about ... our robot overlords. It...
The DKC01.3-040-7-FW is part of the EcoDrive series, developed by Indramat to provide an economical option for automation in materials handling, packaging, assembly, and printing applications. Rexroth acquired Indramat and still supports the EcoDrive components. The DKC series can be used for single or multi-axis actions.
The DKC1.3 family includes analog, stepper motor, and positioning interfaces. You can connect the drive to single and three phase 230V power supplies or to 380 volt to 480 volt three phase power supplies.
When your DKC01.3-040-7-FW was first installed, the engineers were told by the manual to store the diskette for the DKC software carefully in case of future need.
The writers of the manual could easily imagine losing or damaging a diskette. It didn’t occur to them that their machinery would still be in use at a point in the future when diskettes would be essentially useless.
Your computers can’t read diskettes.
If you have a problem communicating with your DKC01.3-040-7-FW, we can help. We also provide support by phone and in the field. Contact us for factory repair and reman, as well.
The same manual that warned early DKC01.3-040-7-FW users to keep their diskettes safe also warned them to use spare parts from the manufacturer only. You can’t buy new parts for your DKC01.3-040-7-FW, so factory repair or reman is the only practical option for repairing your EcoDrive units.
What’s the difference between repair and reman?
Repair is all about fixing faults in your components. Rexroth motion control systems use modular design. When a unit is faulty, it can be pulled off the machine and replaced by a repaired or remanufactured unit.
Since the DKC01.3-040-7-FW is no longer made, it is not possible to replace it with a new unit. Factory repaired and remanufactured units are the next best thing.
In fact, they can be better than new. Remanufactured units are taken apart and cleaned. All wearing parts, such as ball bearings, are replaced. The unit returns to you with a new warranty.
If a wearing part has been improved over time, your remanufactured unit will have the new and improved part. It will actually be better than when you sent it away to be restored.
We keep the nation’s largest stock of replacement parts on hand, so you can use an emergency replacement DKC01.3-040-7-FW to keep your machines running while your unit is being repaired. You may also choose to keep the replacement unit and avoid the need to replace the component again.
