Most Rexroth and Indramat servomotors and servo drives can’t be served on location. Most repair services for drives and controls ask you to ship your ailing parts to them. Your wait time while they repair your units can really mount up — it can be weeks rather than days before you get back up and running.
The there’s the elephant in the room: where exactly do these repair shops get their parts? Since Rexroth doesn’t sell parts, you can expect that the parts used in your repair have been cannibalized from old drives and controls, or perhaps they aren’t Rexroth parts at all.
