Nearly eighteen years after joining forces with Bosch, Rexroth is getting a new branding look. A multicolored logo with the tagline “A Bosch Company” is designed to have animation enlivening its look online.
The new look will come to printed materials, too, relying on the liveliness of the design to convey the idea of movement. The new Bosch Rexroth slogan, “We move. You win” is also designed to get across that idea of movement.
Rexroth is the global leader in industrial motion control, especially when thinking of Industry 4.0, the future of industrial motion control.
The idea of motion is a natural for a motion control systems company. But it’s also intended to make people think of shorter production cycles and frequent change. These are challenges for manufacturers — challenges Rexroth is prepared to meet.
In 1795, Georg Ludwig Rexroth built a water-powered hammer mill, using automation to create hammers. In 1850, Rexroth took on the Stein’schen Eisengießerei iron foundry, presaging a long history of growth through acquisition. The Rexroth logo at this time included a gothic letter R and a stylized goose.
By the 1950s, Rexroth was creating innovative parts for multiple industries. In the 1960s, Rexroth acquired Indramat, and became a pioneer of electric and electronic motion control. In 1979, Rexroth built the first maintenance-free AC servomotor. In 2001, Rexroth took on the familiar simple red and black logo.
Now, Rexroth celebrates new levels of innovation with a new logo.
