When you get an error message on your Rexroth CC220 /320, you are sometimes given the option to Clear Error.
It’s tempting, right? There’s an error, you push Clear Error, and then everything is right with the world.
Not really. Clear Error will completely erase the diagnostic message. It won’t correct the error. So, if your diagnostic message said, “Machine parameters missing,” your machine parameters will still be missing when you clear that error by pushing Clear Error.
Try to get back to work and you will just get the error message over again. You have to actually fix the error. Then you can push Clear Error and get back up and running.
What about Clear Logic?
If you have the option to Clear Logic, you will get the text of the error message deleted, just as with Clear Error. The error won’t be fixed automatically. And your hardware will restart. Your axis home positions will be lost.
It’s not usually an improvement.
Then how can you clear the error?
The problem needs to be solved before you clear the error. If you don’t know how to do that, you have two options:
