In school we learned how to write papers according to a certain formula. “There are three kinds of dogs,” we’d scribble, “First, there are big dogs. Then there are medium dogs. Finally, there are little dogs.”
We’d run through a few examples of each, pointing out the bigness of Great Danes and St. Bernards, the medium-ness of labs and setters, and the smallness of chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers.
Having gotten that out of our systems, we’d wind it all up with, “As I have shown, there are three kinds of dogs.”
It was good practice for understanding CLM controls.
There are three kinds of Indramat CLM Controls, too: 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4. All of them are designed to control AC servos. They are ideal for printing and packaging applications, robotic automation, and woodworking.
The 1.2 is the basic. It doesn’t have removable firmware.
1.3 has removable firmware. You can find the module (and the firmware number) just below the keypad and to the right.
1.4 has some real improvements in both the firmware and the control, and there was no follow up to it. You can identify the 1.4 by its gray color.
As I have shown, there are three kinds of CLM Controls.
If you have a problem with your Indramat CLM Control, check the number and the firmware to determine which model you have, and give us a call at (479) 422-0390 for immediate phone support.
We keep units on hand for quick replacement. We also offer factory repair and reman. Factory repair brings your CLM Control back to you good as new. Sometimes even better than new, since parts that need replacement are replaced with the most current version of the part, at no extra cost to you.
Factory reman is even better. All wearing parts are replaced. Your unit comes back to you with a new warranty.
