Indramat controls come in several different varieties; the PPC control is Sercos based. Sercos, serial real-time communication system, is a globally standardized system for communication between servos and controls.
Sercos, the game-changer
Tight communication among components is key to motion control, and sercos is known for providing that. Originally, servos and drives communicated with analog systems, and each company had its own system, meaning that different components wouldn’t play well together.
Companies were locked into one system, and manufacturers were locked into one brand.
Both Indramat and Bosch (separate companies at that time) were engaged in the initial group developed to steward the standardized system.
Sercos was a major step forward for motion control, and it now is used in other applications as well.
PPC Control
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat PPC Control is freestanding. It can use either Visual Motion with GPP firmware or SynTop with Synax.
It has basic motion control and logic control. It handles complex robotics and multiple axes. It’s a great fit for EcoDrive drives.
We have the largest inventory of replacement parts for Rexroth motion control. Rexroth’s modular design makes it easy to replace your faulty component with a remanufactured one.
Factory repair
We also handle factory repair and reman for Rexroth and Indramat motion control.
Factory repair is your only real option for your PPC Controls. Rexroth doesn’t share specs or sell spare parts, so third party repair shops really don’t have the resources they need to repair PPC Controls, or any other Rexroth components. They may scavenge parts from broken components or cobble something together with office supplies, but they can’t actually repair your PPC control.
Factory repair provides like-new results with original parts and, in most cases, a new warranty.
